Prizes: Grand prize is the real property located at 1856 Conifer Drive, Paradise California 95969 free and clear of all mortgages or liens except the remainder (from date of deed) of the current year’s property taxes. The goal is to raise $500,000 (5,000 tickets or less plus monetary donations).
- Each ticket will cost $100. More than one person/entity may share in the raffle ticket purchase. Title to the property shall be taken in the name or names as they appear on the ticket stub. Title to the property or any subsequent cash shall be in the name on the Raffle ticket stub and is not transferable or assignable.
- No more than 5,000 tickets will be sold.
- In the event that the goal of $500,000 (5,000 tickets or less plus monetary donations) is not realized the House Of Sports advisory committee may end sales and raffle the house.
- Eligibility. The Raffle is open to all persons age 18 and over who are legal U.S. residents physically residing in the United States and DC.
- Each numbered (and paid) Raffle ticket stub will be placed in the Raffle ticket container.
- Paradise Sports Boosters shall appoint a single individual who will be responsible for maintaining control and security of all of the Raffle ticket stubs. Such individual shall, by public certification under oath at the time of the drawing, certify that all Raffle tickets purchased (and paid) have their stub in the container of stubs from which the winning Raffle ticket will be drawn.
- The public drawing will be held at a location and time to be named 30 days prior to drawing.
- You need not be present to win.
- Winners will be notified by phone and certified mail return receipt.
- Winner is responsible for paying any and all applicable taxes.
- The Raffle Winner must claim prize within 15 days from the date notification is mailed or a new winner will be selected.
- Winner must go to settlement on the property within (30) days of the Raffle drawing date.
- The Raffle winner is responsible for any applicable state and federal taxes. All real estate settlement and closing costs will be paid out of raffle proceeds.
- The Raffle winner shall take the real property in ‘as is’ condition.
- This is a tax deductible contribution.
- The Raffle is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and is void wherever prohibited or restricted by law.
- Proceeds of the Raffle are for the benefit of Paradise High School Sports Boosters Club for the benefit of Paradise High School Athletics inclusive of all sports.
- Monetary donations are accepted and will be included in total sales data.
- The goal of $500,000 raised (equating to 5000 tickets or less and monetary donations from individuals, businesses or raised as part of silent auctions or other internal fundraisers is the target value for the house raffle but may be decreased at the sole discretion of the HOUSE OF SPORTS advisory board.
- Periodically a cash prize may be awarded, by raffle, to include all house raffle tickets. This raffle ticket, once drawn, will be placed back in the general population for the house raffle and still be considered a contender for the grand prize, the house located at 1856 Conifer, Paradise, CA 95969.
- Currently there is one cash prize award valued at $10,000 to be scheduled when the 1/2 way mark is reached ($250,000). The drawing for the cash prize will be within 30 days of reaching $250,000 and awarded at a drawing, location disclosed at time of announcing drawing date and time.
